Line Splitter Bmx I'm Trying To Hook Up The Internet On A Second Computer Using A Phone Line Splitter.?

I'm trying to hook up the internet on a second computer using a phone line splitter.? - line splitter bmx

I connect one end to your modem, phone line splitter and an extra row to my second computer, and it seems to work. What am I doing wrong? And there are sites that I can go, these charts show how to do it right?

Do not cut the phone line - you want to cut the Ethernet connection. A splitter is usually your RJ11 (son 6) - an Ethernet RJ45 (8 son).
Connect the telephone line to the modem, connected to an Ethernet port Ethernet modem splitter.

If you want to connect two computers over a single DSL modem, you need a router. The router has a DSL modem and DSL modem to the telephone network. The modem port has a connection to multiple computers. The control signal to communicate with routers from two (or more) computers much more than DSL.

If you attempt to connect two computers via dial-up, then got to get in touch. You can not dial-up two computers at the same time, more than he calls, two phone lines simultaneously. Only one device can use a dial at a time.

I assume you have ADSL?

You need a router to a broadband connection between multiple computers over the Internet to share. The configuration is as follows:

Phone Jack -> Modem -> router -> Computer 1
___________________________ -> Team 2

Your ISP can router lease, but ends usually cheaper in the long run if you buy, sell, only.

A wireless router will inform you about the possibility for the future of your Internet connection with a wireless device. It would be both traditional and cable connections (more than cat-5/cat-6 cable set), and a wireless option.

If you do not think you'll ever need or want wireless, you can go with just one cable router:

I do not think that works. If the analog signal obtained by the phone, and a separator, it does not know which way to go. Part of the signal can go to a computer and some may go to another computer, then u get for nothing.

You can not only 1 computer connected via a DSL connection.
At 2 systems, a router or a router must be connected depends on what kind of modem you already have.

Of course, this does not work, it should. Each team must have its own static IP address. This requires at least one router

You can not connect with a splitter to 2 computers to the Internet at the same time together, they have separate lines.
